Why don’t I make a course that I can sell?
Here’s why…
1. Silicon Valley principles and mindset are counterintuitive and sometimes the opposite of what most people in most parts of the world understand. Growth over revenue. Disruption over partnership. Software over services. Speed of execution vs planning Etc
2. Most people already know the names of these principles and can rattle them off. But many don’t know what they really mean or how to really apply them to the day-to-day operations of their startup or business.
3. There are already countless blogs, podcasts and yes, even courses, on the subject. But they don’t really seem to help. It seems what’s really needed is at least 10 years living in the ecosystem and applying the principles in some of the best companies in the world. It can’t be fully explained or understood 2nd hand. It’s sort of like being a parent. You won’t understand until you actually become one.
4. The only true solution I’ve found is to join a team and help with my bare hands. It takes day-to-day taste, judgement and discipline to elevate and accelerate execution - saving time, money and risk.
That’s why I haven’t bothered making a course.
My goal is to really help founders and operators win. Unfortunately this is the only way I’ve found that truly works.
